Introduction

流式細胞分析技術(flow cytometery) 是應用了流體力學,雷射激光,高速電腦,螢光染色,以及細胞生物化學等數門科技,可以自動分析細胞的一門技術。儀器可運用液流系統將樣品溶液裡的細胞,一個個地依序送往測量區,當通過測量區時,每個細胞會與入射光源相互作用而產生散射光及螢光。這些光線可以被轉換成電子訊號,再進行貯存、分析,並以各種圖形顯示出來,藉此便可測量細胞的一系列重要物理特性及生化特性。

Flow cytometry is a technology which employs fluid dynamics, laser optics, high-speed computer, fluorescent staining, and cell biochemistry to automatically analyze cells. The instrument uses the fluid system to lineup cells in sample solution through a measurement area one by one. When passing through the measurement area, each cell encounters the incident light source to generate scattered and fluorescent lights, which are converted into electronic signals and stored as digital data. The data then further analyzed and displayed in various plot formats to present a range of important physical and biochemical cell properties.
