The Institute is fully equipped with major core facilities such as X-ray, transgenic
mouse, DNA sequencing, micro-array, bio-informatics, electron microscope, FACS,
animal room, plant growing facilities, zebrafish facility, and fly room. Major equipments
of these core facilities include: two RU-300 and one MicroMax007 rotating anode
generators; one Raxis-IV and two Raxis-IV++ imaging plate system detectors; two x-stream
and one x-stream 2000 cryo systems; two confocal optical mirror systems and
one Yale mirror system; Axon microarray scanner GenePix 4000B; Biomicro MAUI
microarray hybridization system; ABI PRISM 3730 DNA Analyzer; BD LSRII Flow
Cytometer; Tecnai TM G2 Spirit Transmission Electron Microscope; Electro-physiology
Imaging Recording System.
In addition, the Institute is also responsible for two national core facilities: the National Mouse Mutagenesis Program Core Facility and the RNA-interference Service Program, both are supported by the National Science Council.
