Welcome to Asia-Pacific Developmental Biology Conference (APDBC 2012)
Dear Colleagues:
It is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2012 Asia Pacific Developmental Biology Conference to be held in Taipei, Taiwan on October 5-8, 2012. This will be the first time that such meetings will take place outside of Japan, and we are excited to provide the best environment for scientific discussion and social networking. Although this Conference was initially conceived by the Asia Pacific Developmental Biology Network, it is not limited to scientists in the Asia Pacific region, in the past American and European scientists also participated in this Conference. This Conference is no exception; we expect scientists from all over the world to register in this meeting.
We have provided excellent scientific programs for this Conference. Four outstanding keynote speakers have agreed to come; in addition, a number of excellent scientists will present their latest advancement in developmental biology. Furthermore, opportunities will be given to young people to present short talks. Travel fellowships will be provided for trainees so that they can have the chance to present their work in the Conference.
In addition to the scientific programs, we have also provided social programs. A half-day tour of the Taipei city will be provided so that everyone gets to see the capital city of Taiwan firsthand. Please come to enjoy the delicious Chinese food, the friendship, and the scientific exchange in Taipei.
We sincerely hope you can join us in this event and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere in Taipei.
Sincerely,
Bon-chu Chung, Ph.D.
