Preserving a mouse line is important for any established mouse line and embryo cryopreservation is a good way to do it. TCF currently provides service of cryopreserving 8-cell to early morula stage embryos. TCF provides super-ovulated wild-type female mice to users for the mating with gene-modified male mice. 2.5dpc embryos are collected, cryopreserved in cryo-protectant in cryo-straws and stored in LN2. After QC check (by thawing and transferred back to surrogated mother for pregnancy), the straws will be released to user for long-term storage.
