Research in the JAC laboratory focuses on two core topics:
(1) noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) and their regulatory roles during motor neuron (MN) generation, degeneration, and aging;
(2) epigenetic and epitranscriptomics mechanisms and their functions in the mammalian nervous system. My lab is also interested in addressing how ncRNA and RNA modification dysfunction may be involved in neurodegenerative diseases.
