Chloroplast is the place where plants photosynthesize. Therefore, understanding how chloroplasts function normally is a very important research direction. Through the three-dimensional structure of the Toc34 molecule and the transport mechanism proposed based on this structure, we can initially understand how chloroplast proteins are transported to the chloroplast through the outer membrane to perform their functions.
