Virus and Cell Interactions- Facing New Emerging Infectious Diseases for Fall 2022

Organizer: Dr. Wen Chang

Purpose: The course opens to all students who are interested in viruses although the content may be more appropriate for students at M.Sc. and Ph.D. level. We anticipate the course to serve two purposes. The first purpose is to provide general knowledge in virus-related fields to students. The second purpose is to encourage students to participate in problem-based discussions aiming to stimulate students’ ability to read, present and discuss important questions in virus biology, including new emerging infectious diseases

Evaluation: Homework/exam by the lecturers and paper discussion

Note:

  • 1. Student scoring system: Each lecturer could give an in-class quiz, homework assignment or or a writing test in Mid-term/Final exam.
  • 2. All lectures and paper discussions will be conducted in English*.
